Happy Holidays from 2 Jade!
Have a lovely Spring holiday. Next half term we will be learning about:
Maths - patterns and number sequences, (2,5,10) times tables, pairs of numbers that make 20.
Literacy - Lauren Child.
History - The Great Fire of London
Science - Health and Growth
Art - Patterns in nature
R.E. - Ideas about God
PSHE - Growing up
ICT - Research
The children will also be taking their SATs tests in the week beginning 4th May 2009. It is important that they attend school every day unless they are very ill and that they are going to bed no later than 8pm every night so that they do their best during this term.
If you have any questions or worries, please speak to Miss Roebuck, Miss Bell or Mrs Marius-Beeko at the end of the day.

Book Reviews

BOOK REVIEWS

We all had a turn at writing our own book reviews about a book that we enjoyed. Here are three of them. Pop into the class to see the rest!

And you can read one of them here...

So Much - Book Review
By: Trish Cooke

Score: 10/10

Ages: 3-10

I like the middle because Aunty Bibba was reading the baby a story and they were having fun.
I like the ending when dad came home and they had a fun time.

Book Week Part 1

Book Week Fun!

This week is Book Week and we have started doing lots of fun things to celebrate books.

Hiawyn Oram
We were lucky enough to have Hiawyn Oram, the author of lots of stories including Mona the Vampire and Angry Arthur come to speak to us. She read us some stories and answered our questions
.

Special Science

We had a great lesson where we used lots of Non Fiction books to find out information about the Body, Living Things, Materials and Electricity. We worked as a group and made some fantastic pieces of work that are on display near our classroom.

Library

We love the library and go whenever we can - even in our lunch and playtimes if we ask the teacher. Miss Wisker read us a lovely story today. We roared, we slithered... can you remember what the story was?

Our Reading Beach

We have made our reading corner into a Reading Beach. Some of the things that we have found at the Reading Beach are:
Shells (Adil, Farida, Somaya and Akram found these)
Rocks (Talab found these).

We are still looking for more interesting things on the Reading Beach. Please bring them in so we can all see them.

Thanks!
